About Me

Hello and welcome to my site. I’m a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and I am passionate about helping people work through their difficulties using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. I use CBT to help me understand problems and inform the direction of therapy. I have additional training in Schema-focused CBT (SF-CBT) which is an extension of traditional Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) that delves deeper into the root causes of emotional and behavioural issues.
Integrated throughout my CBT practice is a relational stance to therapy. I believe that the quality of an individual’s relationships, whether with self or others, past or present, is central to emotional and mental wellness.

I have specialized in the field of psychology throughout my career:
-
Teaching in state schools
-
Teaching adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems
-
Teaching developmental psychology to further education students
-
Psychotherapist and counsellor for college students
-
Psychological therapist in the NHS mental health crisis team with individuals experiencing psychosis or suicidal intent
-
CBT Therapist working in an NHS IAPT treating moderate to severe mental health conditions.

I find it extremely rewarding working with clients and witnessing first-hand their improvement, enabling them to live a more fulfilling life. I particularly enjoy helping others feel good enough about themselves after overcoming low self-esteem, anxiety issues, body-image issues, OCD and trauma.

If you're experiencing any discomfort please don't hesitate to get in touch.
